Frequently asked questions

As things get up and running here at Vitality PT, we will be only accepting cash payments.
For the time being, we will be printing out superbills for our patients to submit to insurance for reimbursement of physical therapy services.
This allows me to have one on one sessions with my patients, without needing a prescription or having to ask insurance for continued visits. This in turn will give better results, leading to you have less overall visits!
-
The out of pocket sessions will vary depending on which visit you will be booking. Initial evaluations begin at $135 and range to $150 and follow up sessions are $70 per visit.
The benefit of being a cash based patient is that you do not have to have the regimented 3 times per week for 12 weeks program delegated by insurances. We will determine treatment frequency at initial evaluation and the goal is to taper your program so you can return to your regularly scheduled programming in a shorter amount of time.
-
Vitality PT offers one on one initial evaluations and treatment sessions to get to the root of your problems. You will have a comprehensive initial evaluation, specific home exercise program, leave with materials for education of your specific diagnosis, and have a tailored treatment plan that will help reduce your pain and improve quality of life.
You will also gain access to call, text, or email me at any time with any questions or concerns that may arise during your treatment plan.

Yes! Internal exams and treatment sessions for pelvic floor rehabilitation are often a key component to a comprehensive pelvic floor evaluation. They give valuable insight to your therapist about your pelvic muscle strength, endurance, coordination, and pain.
An internal exam is just a piece to the puzzle of pelvic floor dysfunction, so they are not necessary.
Pediatric pelvic floor evaluations and sessions will NEVER include internal exams, however, external visualization of pelvic floor coordination may be performed.
-
Absolutely! If you are comfortable with being on your cycle and attending a session, we would welcome you to keep your booking. This can also be extremely useful if you are having pain with menstruation! We can work on specific tactics in clinic while symptoms are present.

-
Research has shown attending pelvic floor therapy can be beneficial as early as 3 weeks postpartum. In the early stages of rehab you will focus on breath control and finding your deep core and pelvic floor muscles as well as coordinating breath, core, and pelvic floor musculature together.
Please refer to your physician if you have any questions about attending a session postpartum.
-
My answer to this will always be no way. We should not have to give up what we love to do because of pregnancy. However, we may have to modify some movements to protect you and baby.
The modification process is gradual and will be tailored to you and the specific activities that you are currently doing.
I will add that if you are currently not active/exercising and are wanting to start an exercise program, it is best to start with a consult to see where we can start your journey!
